Nick Reynolds, CTRS
Recreational Therapist
Nick graduated from Illinois State University with a Bachelors of Science in Therapeutic Recreation in 2024. He completed his internship with New Leaf in the summer of 2024. Shortly after completing his internship, he received his CTRS certification and began working as a Recreational Therapist with New Leaf.
Nick has a passion for working with individuals with disabilities that he first found at an early age spending time with a close family friend and neighbor with Down Syndrome. Nick’s passion for working with this population grew immensely during the summer following his freshman year of college when he started working at a Special Recreation association being a summer camp leader for individuals with disabilities. Over the course of the four years that Nick spent working at the Special Recreation Association his skill set, experience, and passion for the field grew and two years into working there decided to change his major from Special Education to Therapeutic Recreation.
In his free time Nick enjoys playing Disc Golf, Golf, spending time with his wife Maddi, cooking, and going to the dog park with his golden doodle named Topper. Nick is very passionate about Disc Golf and helped co-found the Disc Golf club during his time at Illinois State.
