Northeast Indiana

Kayci Irmscher, MA, CTRS

Co-Owner/Recreational Therapist

Kayci graduated with a Bachelors in Therapeutic Recreation at the University of Toledo in 2015, and soon after passed the CTRS exam. Kayci then chose to further her education and received her Masters in Recreation Administration in 2016 from the University of Toledo. After beginning to work on the Indiana Medicaid Waiver in 2016, Kayci extended her professional life by becoming an Adjunct Professor at Indiana Tech in Fort Wayne. In her free time, Kayci enjoys spending time with her husband, Adam, and her black labs, Kolby and Piper!

Lori Schweyer, CTRS

Co-Owner/Recreational Therapist

Lori graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Therapeutic Recreation from Indiana Tech in 2006. Soon after graduation, Lori passed the CTRS exam and began working on the Indiana Medicaid Waiver in 2008. She has experience both as a therapist and director of a recreational therapy program. Lori has been involved in the waiver for 10+ years and has the pleasure of serving most of her client caseload for the majority of that time. In her free time, Lori enjoys hanging out with friends, family, and her two silly and awesome kids, Ellie and Wyatt!

Taylor Stieb, CTRS

Co-Owner/Recreational Therapist

Taylor graduated from the University of Toledo with a Bachelors in Therapeutic Recreation in 2015. Taylor successfully passed the CTRS exam and began working on the Indiana Medicaid Waiver the same year she graduated. Soon after beginning her work on the waiver, Taylor was given the title of Internship Supervisor and was in charge of the supervision of college interns and the creation of an internship program. In her free time, Taylor enjoys traveling, going to the lake, and spending time with friends, family, and her doodles, Sasha and Nora!

Elena Witte, CTRS

Recreational Therapist

Elena graduated from the University of Toledo with a Bachelors in Therapeutic Recreation in August 2017 and completed her internship within the Indiana Medicaid Waiver. Soon after passing her CTRS exam, Elena began working on the waiver in 2017. She has extensive experience working with individuals with disabilities on the waiver and also at a residential facility for individuals with disabilities called Josina Lott in Toledo during college. In her free time, Elena enjoys spending time with family, friends, her husband Tyler, and her two cats!

Devin Riggs, MA, CTRS

Recreational Therapist

Devin is a 2015 graduate from the University of Toledo's Therapeutic Recreation program and a 2016 graduate from the Recreation Administration masters program also from the University of Toledo. After making the move from Toledo to Fort Wayne, Devin began her professional career by working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities on the Indiana Medicaid Waiver in 2017. In Devin's free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Donnie, her daughter, Emilia, and her boxer pup, Gus Gus!

Justin Ward, LRT/CTRS

Recreational Therapist

Justin graduated from Western Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Therapeutic Recreation in 2018. He completed his internship at a rehabilitation hospital and received his CTRS credentials shortly after. Justin has experience working as a recreational therapist at a psychiatric hospital and adolescent behavioral health center. He is a Licensed Recreational Therapist in the state of North Carolina and is certified in Person-Centered Thinking. In his free time, Justin enjoys weightlifting, disc golf, and grilling!

Trisha Bell, CTRS

Recreational Therapist

Trisha received her Bachelors of Science in Therapeutic Recreation from East Carolina University in 2021. After graduation, Trisha took her skills from North Carolina to Fort Wayne to complete her internship working at New Leaf, where she successfully passed her CTRS exam. Trisha has experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities on the Indiana Medicaid Waiver. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her pup Maggie, her boyfriend Trevor, and her friends and family!

Cassidy Honeycutt, CTRS

Recreational Therapist

Cassidy is a 2021 graduate from East Carolina University with her Bachelors of Science in Therapeutic Recreation and a Minors in Psychology. After completing her internship, she successfully passed her boards and obtained her CTRS credentials. Cassidy completed her internship working at New Leaf and has experience working with individuals with disabilities on the Indiana Medicaid Waiver. In her free time, Cassidy enjoys spending time with her pup Gabby and spending time with friends and family!

Allie Pensyl, CTRS

Recreational Therapist

Allie graduated from Indiana Tech in 2021 with her Bachelors of Science degree in Therapeutic Recreation. She successfully completed her internship here at New Leaf working with individuals with disabilities and getting familiar with the Indiana Medicaid Waiver. Once she passed her CTRS exam, she accept a position at New Leaf as a full time recreational therapist. In her free time, Allie enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing soccer, lake days, watching sports, and visiting new places! 

Central Indiana

Shelby Groves, CTRS

Recreational Therapist

Shelby graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Recreation from Indiana University in 2019 and completed her internship at The Rocky Mountain MS Center in Westminster, CO. She has experience as a volunteer at a Serbian Recreational Therapy Exchange Program while traveling to various countries, a direct support professional (DSP), a camp counselor at Bradford Woods, and creating adaptive programs in college. In her free time, Shelby enjoys crocheting, hiking, kayaking, playing with her dogs, listening to music, and watching movies!

Morgan Cavanaugh, CTRS

Recreational Therapist

Morgan graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Recreation from Indiana University in 2019 and completed her internship at the VA in Indianapolis. Morgan has experience as an international volunteer advocating and educating others about recreational therapy while traveling to Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia, and Herzegovina. She also has experience creating adaptive programs and volunteering for a Special Olympics bowling league. In her free time, Morgan enjoys reading, bike riding, playing cards, and surf/wakeboarding at the lake!

Morgan Bell, MA, CTRS

Recreational Therapist/Behavior Consultant

Morgan obtained her Bachelors of Science degree in Therapeutic Recreation from Eastern Michigan University in 2018 and her Masters degree in Special Education from Arizona State University in 2020. Morgan has extensive experience as both a recreational therapist and behavior consultant on Indiana Medicaid Waiver and was promoted to Director of Behavior Management in 2022. In Morgan's free time, she enjoys reading, traveling to new places, scrapbooking, spending time with her cats, Felix and Amelia, and spending time with family!

Jolie Rardin, CTRS

Recreational Therapist

Jolie is a graduate from Eastern Kentucky University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Therapeutic Recreation in 2017. Upon successfully completing her internship and receiving her CTRS credentials, Jolie went on to work in multiple settings with various roles, including an adult day training recreation director, therapeutic recreation department supervisor, recreational specialist aide, and more. In Jolie's free time, she enjoys being outdoors and going camping, thrifting and flipping various furniture items, and spending time dog training!

Azia White, CTRS

Recreational Therapist

Azia received her Bachelors of Science degree in Therapeutic Recreation from Indiana University-Bloomington in 2019. Once she successfully finished her degree, completed her internship at Indiana University Health in the behavioral health unit, and passed the CTRS certification exam, Azia began working as a Registered Behavioral Technician while providing ABA therapy to individuals with autism spectrum disorder before working on the waiver. In Azia's free time, she enjoys running and listening to music!

Nicole Jackson, CTRS

Recreational Therapist

Nicole graduated from East Carolina University in 2015 with a Bachelors of Science in Therapeutic Recreation. After completing her internship and earning her CTRS credentials, she went on to work as a Recreational Therapist with adolescents at a psychiatric facility for 6 years. Nicole is PCIA Climbing Site Belay certified and is NAUI Worldwide SCUBA Diver and Advanced SCUBA Diver certified. In her free time, Nicole enjoys gardening, going to drag races, hanging out with her dogs, baking, and completing DIY projects!

Rachel Huggins, CTRS

Recreational Therapist

Rachel is a 2014 graduate from Union University with a Bachelors degree in Sports Medicine (Exercise Science emphasis). Rachel then went on to receive her Masters of Science degree in Recreation and Sport Management (Recreational Therapy emphasis) in 2021. Rachel has experience as an active member of the U.S. Army and Army National Guard, has worked with veterans at her recreational therapy internship site, and is certified as a Level 1 Archery Instructor. In Rachel's free time, she enjoys hiking with her dog!

Gabrielle Sutton, CTRS

Recreational Therapist

Gabrielle, who goes by "Gabbi", graduated from the University of Toledo in 2019 with a degree in Therapeutic Recreation and a Minor in Psychology. Once graduation was past her, Gabbi began working at New Leaf as a recreational therapist. After leaving Indiana in 2020, Gabbi took her education and experience to both Texas and Michigan and continued work as a RT. She ultimately moved back to Indiana and began working again at New Leaf at the end of 2021. In her free time, Gabbi enjoys spending time with her husband, Will, and her four pups!

CC Dew, MS, CTRS

Recreational Therapist

Celia, who goes by "CC", initially obtained her Bachelors and Masters in Exercise Science in 2014 and 2016. CC then chose to explore the therapeutic recreation profession and went on to receive her Bachelors of Arts degree in Therapeutic Recreation from the  University of North Carolina-Wilmington in 2021. CC has experience working with adaptive sports and fitness classes while at her internship placement and has worked as a student facilitator with individuals with disabilities while in college. 

West Indiana

Lanae Prindiville-Moss, CTRS

Recreational Therapist

Lanae graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree in Therapeutic Recreation and a Minor in Music from Indiana University Bloomington in 2019 and soon after successfully passed her CTRS exam. Lanae has extensive experience working with individuals with disabilities on the Indiana medicaid waiver, as she completed her internship on the waiver and also has volunteer experience with an agency working with individuals on the waiver. In Lanae's free time, she enjoys spending time with friends, family, her husband, and going on hikes!

Melody Kellett, CTRS

Recreational Therapist

Melody received her Bachelors of Science degree in Therapeutic Recreation from Indiana State University in 1997. Since completing her degree, Melody has been in multiple roles since college, including a recreational therapist in a hospital setting and a recreational therapist working with individuals with disabilities on the Indiana Medicaid Waiver. In Melody's free time, she enjoys boating, watching her kids sports, soccer, golf, and basketball. She also loves to travel and spend time at the beach and outdoors!

Northwest Indiana

Juanakee Sinkler, MS, CTRS

Recreational Therapist

Juanakee received her Bachelors of Science in Therapeutic Recreation from Grand Valley State University in 2013. After her undergrad degree, Juanakee went on to receive her Masters of Science in Recreation, Park and Tourism Administration from Western Illinois University in 2016. She has extensive experience as a recreational therapist in numerous settings and populations, including a Director/Lead role at a past employer. In Juanakee's free time, she enjoys reading, cooking, gardening, and spending time with family and her 3 dogs!

Allison Ayala, CTRS

Recreational Therapist

Allison is a 2019 graduate from the Therapeutic Recreation program and a certificate holder in Gerontology from Indiana State University. Soon after graduating, she went on to successfully pass her CTRS certification exam. Allison has experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities as a direct support professional (DSP) and she also completed her internship at a behavioral center.  In Allison's free time, she enjoys being outside when the weather is nice, dancing, and playing games!

Samantha Levickis, CTRS

Recreational Therapist

Samantha graduated from Western Illinois University with a Bachelors in Recreation, Parks, and Tourism Administration with an emphasis in Therapeutic Recreation in 2019. Once she completed her internship, Samantha successfully passed her CTRS exam. Samantha has experience as a volunteer and programmer at an adaptive physical education program and also was the President of the Therapeutic Recreation Society at her university. In her free time, Samantha enjoys fishing, watching netflix, and hanging with friends and family!

Kristen Cunningham, CTRS

Recreational Therapist

Kristen is a graduate from Indiana University-Bloomington with a Bachelors of Science degree in Therapeutic Recreation. Shortly after graduation, Kristen passed her CTRS exam, receiving her credentials. Kristen has extensive experience as a recreational therapist working with individuals in a physical rehab hospital, and also has 10 years of experience as a Special Education Instructional Assistant in the school system working with students with special needs. In Kristen's free time, she enjoys doing craft projects, gardening, and baking!

Amand‚Äča Hendley, MS, LRT/CTRS

Recreational Therapist

Amanda is a graduate from Eastern Michigan University with a Bachelors of Science in Therapeutic Recreation. After passing her boards and receiving her CTRS credentials, Amanda chose to further her education at Northcentral University. While there, she completed the Masters program in Healthcare Administration. Amanda has experience working with individuals at a rehabilitation center, child youth and school services, and at a senior living center. In her free time, Amanda enjoys scuba diving, kayaking,  and painting!

Desiree Wilson, CTRS

Recreational Therapist

Desiree received her Bachelors of Science degree in Therapeutic Recreation from Grand Valley State University in 2021. After completing her internship at Samaritan Health Services, Desiree successfully passed her CTRS exam. Desiree has experience working as an Activities Director after she graduated college, an Activities Aide while in college, a KiderCare teacher, and a Direct Support Professional. In her free time, Desiree enjoys siting in nature, gardening with her dog Chase, binge watching movies with her boyfriend, and spending time with family!

Northcentral Indiana

Autumn Kuespert, MS, MSW, CTRS, LMHCA 

Recreational Therapist

Autumn has many degrees under her belt, including a Masters in Social Work, a Masters in Therapeutic Recreation, a Masters in Art Therapy and Counseling, a Bachelors in Pre-Art Therapy, a Bachelors in Liberal Studies, and an Associates in Deaf Studies. She has extensive experience as a Director of Recreational Therapy, Family Preservation Therapist, Behavior Therapist, and multiple internship experiences for her degrees. In Autumn's free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Kirk, her 6 animals, her family, and being outside.
